The Board of Ottawa County Commissioners voted July 7, 2026, to authorize a service contract with The Association for Private Counseling to provide behavioral health therapy, mentoring and counseling for a foster child as a non‑Medicaid provider. The motion records the contract is effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, at a rate of $95.00 per hour and shall not exceed $12,000.00.
The action was taken on the recommendation of the Director of the Department of Job and Family Services and approved by the Prosecuting Attorney before being presented to the commissioners. Commissioner Donald A. Douglas moved the motion and Commissioner Mark E. Coppeler seconded; the roll call vote was unanimous. The Department of Job and Family Services will oversee execution and payment up to the contract cap.
