Tioga County commissioners on July 14 recorded several staff resignations and approved a slate of hires and transfers across county departments.
The board recorded resignations including Angela Perry (Prothonotary Office), Kayla Hurler (Children & Youth), Susan Slocum (Emergency Services) and Max Campbell (Tioga County Prison). The board listed the hire of Carrie Wolferman (Clerk, Prothonotary Office) for information and approved motions to hire Lindsey Deming (Truancy Caseworker, Family Services) at $18.80/hr. with benefits effective July 13, 2026; Darlene DeWalt (Visitation Assistant) at $15.50/hr. effective June 29, 2026; Kaytee Kemp (Executive Assistant of Records, Tioga County Prison) at $16.00/hr. effective July 6, 2026; part-time corrections officers Jaclyn Wolfe, Jacob Thurstin, Max Estock, Dru Clark at $18.00/hr. (various start dates); and others as listed in the minutes.
The board also approved transfers of multiple employees from SAM, Inc. to Tioga County effective June 29, 2026, with titles and pay rates recorded in the minutes. Examples include Ericka O'Neil (LPN) at $62,999.82 and Alivia Borsheim (Visitation Supervisor) at $45,150.04; several Family Support and Youth Diversion Services providers were transferred at specified hourly rates. Motions to approve these hires and transfers passed unanimously.
