Administrators described setting aside a portion of 'Zier solar' money for vehicle fleet replacement; the procurement process is in three phases — specification creation, submission through FIBOR for bids, and final selection and ordering.
For safety projects, staff outlined the RFQ and engineering‑services process: attorneys drafted the RFQ, it was mailed to recommended firms, two firms responded, and staff recommended a firm for board review and potential contracting. No final contract award was approved during the meeting; the board received the financial update and asked clarifying questions about fund expirations and cycles.
