"It is a recommendation of the administration to approve the 23–24 district and campus improvement plans, summative review," the superintendent said, presenting the materials as the last look before final acceptance. Board members asked for highlights of where goals exceeded expectations and which strategies would continue; the superintendent said most goals rolled over and staff will bring a first review in November with two months of academic-year data.
Trustees discussed a recent strategy change: flex days were discontinued and a new planning hour was noted as a positive change for teachers. The district advisory committee, which includes paraprofessionals, custodians and community members, had a role in developing the plans, the superintendent said.
