The Brackett ISD board opened its January meeting with a formal recognition of trustees after the superintendent read a gubernatorial proclamation. "Greg Abbott does hereby proclaim January 2025 to be School Board Appreciation Month," S2 said, and invited principals and students to the dais so trustees could receive tokens of appreciation.
Students from Jones Elementary presented handmade cards and Jasmine Graves read a poem honoring the trustees. S5 presented a certificate and floral arrangement to the board as a gesture of thanks. Board members then moved on to routine business, including consent items and reports later in the meeting.
