Commissioner Ioppose said the county does not expect placements to decline and "we do expect costs to go up," adding that the amount is conservative given 2024to26 2026 trends and the need to process invoices quickly to avoid repeated supplemental requests. DSS staff noted differences in negotiated rates: "the average rate for our 20 motels is about $1.20, $1.25, and that's includes a range from 90 up to, I think, 150 right now," and added that Family of Woodstock may pay higher weekend rates than DSS-negotiated rates.
