Committee okays modest per-diem increases for Family of Woodstock shelters

"We're just asking that these be implemented to ensure that, Family Woodstock can continue to meet their operational costs and overhead involved with their staffing equipment, overhead," Commissioner Ioppose said. Committee members characterized the increases as small and moved the resolution forward with a voice vote.
Why it matters: The per-diem changes aim to keep shelter operators solvent amid rising costs and avoid repeated emergency contract amendments later in the fiscal year. Family of Woodstock provides after-hours placements and other emergency services that county staff said are under increased demand.
