Ulster County approves $250K amendment and Everon contract to upgrade jail fire alarm systems

Deputy Director (Public Works) Perdi explained the work covers replacement of smoke detectors, enunciators and controllers that are original to the building and are at the end of their extended life. Perdi said the procurement will "piggyback off of the state contract" with OGS, using Evron/Everon’s state pricing. Chair Nolan introduced Resolution 439 for contract execution: "This is the contract to do the work of the, fire system upgrades that, were addressed in resolution number 437. This would be 100% county funded." The contract with Everon LLC for $192,667.34 was approved and the capital amendment was adopted unanimously.
DPW provided supporting backup documentation and members emphasized procurement via the state contract to secure set pricing. The administration said the items and full list of components are included in the backup package provided to the committee.
