The Sedan City Council set interview dates for several open municipal positions: street laborer and summer-help interviews are scheduled for May 26, 2026 at 5:30 PM, and office-clerk interviews for May 27, 2026 at 5:30 PM at City Hall. The council noted that lifeguard positions were already filled, while the police officer opening had received no applications so far.
Police Chief William Tunstall said he had reached out to two additional potential applicants to solicit interest in the open police officer position. The council asked staff to proceed with scheduled interviews and to continue outreach for the police vacancy.
