The Select Board voted to waive the fee in the outdoor market ordinance so the Recreation Commission can hold its market on the town field on May 2. Town staff had flagged the ordinance fee for vendor use; members said the field placement would provide a safer, less hazardous layout for shoppers than the original lot location and avoid additional wear on paved areas. "They're planning us to move it to the field," the Town Administrator said when describing the Recreation Commission plan.
A motion to waive the fee and allow the event on the field passed unanimously. Members discussed rain‑date logistics (May 2 as the cleanup rain date) and concurred the Recreation Commission should coordinate cleanup and vendor placement to minimize impacts on town property.
