Summary
The council scheduled one hour of KOMA training to occur virtually on June 2, 2026 at 4:15 PM for $630; an amendment to have the training cost covered by council members and the mayor failed for lack of a second, and a motion to mandate SOP training for elected personnel also failed.

Wellington Butler moved and Crystal Wade seconded a motion to schedule one hour of KOMA training on June 2, 2026 at 4:15 PM to be delivered virtually for a fee of $630. The motion passed unanimously.
Adam Clark moved to amend that original motion so the cost be borne by council members and the mayor; that amendment died for lack of a second. A separate motion by Wellington Butler to create a standard operating procedure requiring mandated KORA/KOMA training and providing books also failed for lack of a second. The council recorded the training date and fee for administration and training follow-up.
