County awards auctioneering services RFP to RTI Auctions; no cost to county

Purchasing Officer Jean Peterson told the committee five responses were received for the auctioneering services RFP and recommended awarding the contract to RTI Auctions. She noted there is no cost to the County, because the vendor collects a buyer’s premium that varies by payment method.
The motion to award the RFP to RTI Auctions was made by Scott J. Van Etten, seconded by K. Michael Hanna, and carried 5-0. Purchasing will finalize the award documentation and update contract records.
Peterson said the selection prioritizes no direct county costs and vendor experience; the committee did not discuss alternate award options at the meeting.
