Elections office rolls over several grants, accepts new cybersecurity funds; reports 4.5% primary turnout

He sought authorization to roll $4,766.23 from cyber grant funds and accept $80,923.20 in new cybersecurity funds for a total balance of $85,689.43. He also requested rollovers and new balances for Ballot‑by‑Mail, Absentee Pre‑Paid Postage and Poll Site Improvements grants.
"Total grant balance will be $85,689.43," Housel said of the cybersecurity grant after outlining the rollovers. The motions to extend and accept the various grants were made by Brian C. Schu and seconded by K. Michael Hanna; each motion carried 5-0. Housel also reported a 4.5 percent turnout in the primary and said enhanced voting reports and website postings have been well received.
The committee authorized the requested grant extensions and rollovers; funds will be reflected in upcoming accounting and grant documentation.
