The Madison Parish Police Jury approved its consent agenda on Aug. 12, accepting the July 22 minutes and routine departmental reports. Jerry Hicks moved to approve the consent agenda and Johnny Hughes seconded; the motion carried with no discussion.
The Secretary/Treasurer asked permission to pay outstanding invoices "based on available funds." Johnny Hughes moved and Mr. Hicks seconded a separate motion to authorize payments as funds become available; the jury approved the motion. President Jane Sanders also noted completion of work on DeSoto Street and commended the crew for a job well done. The meeting record shows routine district reports followed and no public comment during the opening comment period.
