The Planning and Zoning Commission (acting as the Board of Adjustment) approved variance 2026-012 to allow the accessory building to be placed 5 feet from the rear property line on a lot in the Lake Park District.
Staff presented the application, explained that the lot is T-shaped and that the variance is a minimum necessary to allow reasonable use of the land, and described coordination with neighboring property owners on drainage. The board’s written findings of fact said special conditions and exceptional hardship justify the requested relief.
The motion passed on roll-call with two recorded 'No' votes. The variance was conditioned on compliance with drainage measures, adherence to required safeguards, and issuance of any necessary building permits.
