Adams Group gives Sheridan an unmodified (clean) audit opinion for fiscal 2025

Eric Miller of the Adams Group presented the draft financial audit for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025, and said the firm intends to issue an unmodified (clean) opinion once final review steps are complete.
"For fiscal year ended 12/31/2025, unmodified or clean opinion," Eric Miller said, adding that the Adams Group relies on audited financial statements provided by a different CPA firm for the housing authority (which is included in the city's consolidated financial statements but audited separately). Council had no questions and voted to accept the audit report.
Miller also said there were no significant audit findings or disagreements with management and that remaining work is largely technical finalization of the report; staff thanked the auditor for a thorough process.
