Flying Saucer RV Park redevelopment nears final approvals; council told residents likely to move mid-September

Community development staff told council the Flying Saucer RV Park redevelopment is close to final approvals and outlined upcoming review dates: planning commission on Sept. 2 and council for a public hearing and vote on Oct. 12. Staff said plan review for the developer's seven new buildings is nearly complete.
"We are getting very close to having everything approved for that development," staff said, and added that final subdivision improvement agreements will specify which rights of way and easements the city will take ownership of as part of the project. Staff reported permit issuance and a likely property closing could come late September or into October; they noted anticipated move-outs for longtime RV residents around Sept. 13 as the developer finalizes occupancy and ownership transition.
