Police chief recommends Urban SDK presentation to help target enforcement

Sires said the service can produce continuous maps for varying time frames (day, week, month, year) and pinpoint when and where speeding or volume issues occur. "I've been approached by a company called Urban SDK," he told members, and added that the company would first present and then provide pricing. Sires emphasized the tool could let the department focus limited enforcement resources on specific times and locations instead of prolonged patrols.
Members queried cost and applicability; Sires said pricing would be disclosed after the demonstration and that any purchase would require budgeting and further committee review. The group agreed to invite Urban SDK to the next meeting in December for a short presentation so the committee could decide whether to pursue it further.
