The newly formed Hooksett Highway Safety Advisory Board convened and selected leadership for its first meeting, appointing town engineer Bruce Thomas to serve as chair for this session while naming resident representative Jamieson as vice chair.
Leanne McLaughlin, the committee's project coordinator, moved to nominate Thomas as chair and Geraldine Chiodelli seconded the motion; members approved by voice. Thomas said he could preside over this meeting but cautioned it might be his last: "Well, I can be the chair for this meeting, but this is the last meeting I come to." The group agreed a resident should serve as vice chair to help represent community concerns at future meetings.
The committee set a quarterly meeting cadence and picked Dec. 12 at 9:30 a.m. as the next meeting date, with recurring meetings roughly every three months (September, December, March, June) on a Friday morning. McLaughlin said the project coordinator will maintain the committee's request log and handle routine staff support.
The committee noted meetings will be recorded and encouraged members and residents to use microphones so minutes and recordings capture recommendations for later presentation to Town Council.
