FY2026–29 TIP approved; new eTip project tracker goes live

TPO staff said the FY2026–29 TIP was approved effective Aug. 1, programming roughly $968 million across listed and grouped projects, and demonstrated a new eTip project tracker that will let local agencies view projects and (in future) submit amendment requests.
TPO staff reported that the FY2026–29 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) was approved effective Aug. 1 and reviewed how funding is programmed across project types and groupings.
"Fiscal 26 29 tip after extended gestation was approved effective August 1," Craig Lippe said. Lippe described about $968 million in programmed investments across 30 individually listed projects and several grouped categories, with local projects including roadway, transit and bike-and-pedestrian investments. He also noted annual CMAQ allocations in the mid-single millions and flagged that the federal Carbon Reduction Program may not continue in future reauthorization, which could affect funding for some projects.
Staff demonstrated the new eTip platform and project tracker—currently in a soft rollout—and said it will allow users to search by county or lead agency, download project PDFs and, once local-login functionality is enabled, submit amendment and modification requests online. Staff distributed project-summary handouts that list programmed amounts and near-term obligations.
