Granbury council approves voluntary annexation of 5.413 acres at Glen Rose Highway

Granbury City Council on Monday approved Ordinance 26-52, annexing 5.413 acres of the Thomas Price survey (abstract 439) at 4102 Glen Rose Highway to the city.
Community Development Director Cody Nolan told council the parcel (addressed as 4102 Glen Rose Highway, also referenced historically as 5500 Discovery) lies outside the current city limits and that staff recommended approval of the voluntary annexation. No members of the public signed up to speak on the item. Council moved to approve the annexation and the measure passed on a voice vote, 6–0.
The annexed land was described in staff materials as part of the property controlled by the applicant (Red Cedar LLC). The council’s action brings the parcel under city jurisdiction and makes it subject to Granbury ordinances and permitting processes going forward. No conditions or amendments accompanied the vote.
