Engineer updates Sellersburg council on Sunflower Valley water bids, utility relocations and Town Center sewer work

Andrew, the engineer from Prime Group, told the council the Sunflower Valley water project is currently advertising for bids, with a pre‑bid meeting scheduled the next day and a bid opening on Aug. 24. He said only a few contractor questions had been received to date and that addenda will address them.
Andrew also reported that the 31 West utility relocation is nearly complete except for one remaining sewer lateral at 124 North Indiana Avenue and that the raw water main project is being coordinated with the Sunflower Valley effort for potential IFA financing. On the Town Center Sewer Extension, Andrew said staff have contacted all property owners; several parcels are completing approval and signature steps and revised offers have been issued where owners requested changes.
He added that some utility relocations require other companies (Lumos) to move infrastructure before contractors can finish force main relocation, and that CCMG 2026‑1 roadway work is wrapping up with just striping remaining. Council members asked whether specific projects are covered by rate revenue or bond/TIF financing; staff clarified that some items are rate‑funded while the town center sewer project is TIF/bond funded and IFA reimbursement applies to certain engineered costs.
