"Since we don't have a quorum, that means we can't be there to business since we have to for anything in favor of a recommendation, you have to have at least 4 votes," the chair said.
The chair proposed a scheduling plan — naming Dr. Pickett, Gwen McKenzie and Dave Miller — and suggested getting those names on the city council agenda by Sept. 1 so they could attend the October meeting and the task force could vote. He also cautioned about prior lawsuits concerning ex parte communications and recommended sending candidate names to staff for distribution to the full task force to preserve public-process safeguards.
