Altoona council approves consent agenda, awards pool renovation and demolition bids 6–0

The Altoona City Council approved a multi-item consent agenda that included minutes approval, procurement awards and program amendments. Among the actions, council authorized awarding Prospect Pool bathhouse renovations to Clark Contractors of Bedford for $696,313.85 and approved demolition contracts for 613 North 7th Avenue (garage only) to Teleki's Demolition of Johnstown for $5,100 and for 226 Beach Avenue to Lecky's Demolition of Johnstown for $10,300.
The clerk also presented HUD Community Development Block Grant items: adoption of a revised citizen participation plan and a $1,685.28 transfer in the 2024 CDBG program from a canceled Pleasant Village roof replacement to an existing homeowner roof replacement project. The council approved repository bids including $300 for property at 1604 North 8th Avenue and $1,001 for property at 2321 West Chestnut Avenue.
The clerk called for the consent vote; councilmembers voting "yes" produced a 6–0 recorded outcome with Mayor Pacifico absent. The presiding officer authorized the city manager to execute the documents and the city clerk to attest where required.
