The Hooksett Town Council approved by voice vote a motion to rename Lambert's Park to Alfred J. Lambert Riverside Park and accepted a donated replacement sign from the Parks & Recreation advisory board.
Andy Janice, speaking for Parks & Rec, said the board gave unanimous approval to the updated sign design and the family donation. Councilors moved to waive the rules to consider the item early on the agenda; the naming and the sign donation were then placed on the consent agenda and approved. Councilor Philippi stated the donation "is a value of $502.16, and it's being donated by Andy Janos," and the council recorded no objections to moving both items together on consent.
