Brackett ISD reports rising teacher certification rates and outlines Teacher Incentive Allotment steps

Administration reported 38 of 52 teachers were certified in 24'25 (73%) and projected an 84% certification rate for 25'26 as interns and others complete certification steps. Staff described targeted mentoring, a checklist process and tutoring programs to prepare candidates for state certification tests.
The presentation also covered the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA): the district must include language in its compensation plan to accept state TIA funds for designated teachers and can choose to pursue a local TIA program; a district-employed teacher who had an existing designation will receive state TIA dollars prior to 08/31/2025.
