Governor: SunTrax to remain nation's only high‑speed autonomous vehicle test track

FDOT officials emphasized that vehicles must pass safety tests at SunTrax before being considered road worthy.
Officials said the testing also supports public‑safety and first‑responder use cases, and that data from controlled tests will inform any future operational deployments on public roadways.
