Sedan accepts office clerk resignation, posts replacement and removes former clerk from accounts

Angela Evans moved to approve the resignation and Wellington Butler seconded; the motion carried unanimously. Council then approved posting the Office Clerk position as part-time with potential to become full-time—Crystal Wade noted the 2026 budget reflects a part-time position and cautioned against immediate changes to benefits. Councilmember Adam Clark noted that shifting to full-time would increase budgeted employee benefits.
The council also approved a motion to remove Trishadee Haden from all city bank accounts. The clerk will manage the vacancy posting and subsequent hiring steps per standard city procedure.
