The council agreed the city should reimburse businesses for the state's $25 charge and adjust local fees accordingly.
Councilmember Wellington Butler moved to amend Ordinance No. 921, Section 10, lowering the General Retailer fee from $100 to $75 and the Limited Retailer fee from $75 to $50; Adam Clark seconded the motion and it carried unanimously (0 Nay, 5 Yay).
The council did not specify an effective date at the meeting; the clerk will prepare ordinance language for the city record and future postings.
