The board conducted an open superintendent evaluation using the district’s standard rubric. Each board member announced scores and offered comments across multiple performance domains including leadership, communication, budgeting and community relations. Scores presented ranged mostly at the top of the rubric; several board members praised the superintendent’s visibility, outreach and financial focus.
During the evaluation the superintendent shared highlights of an anonymous staff survey. She said staff responses were largely positive about leadership and visibility: about 96% of respondents said communication was clear, and a high percentage said the superintendent is visible in the community and well versed in educational topics. She said the board will average submitted scores and present a consolidated summary at the next public meeting and that evaluation forms will be included in personnel records as required.
No personnel action was taken during the meeting; the evaluation process will be finalized outside the meeting and summarized publicly at a later date.
