Board approves sinking fund and bond-series invoices totaling about $1.5 million

The board approved several payments related to the district’s capital projects and bond work during the Aug. 10 work session. The approvals included sinking fund invoices of $247,021.72, Proposal 1 Series 3 invoices of $600,332.54 and Proposal 1 Series 4 invoices of $677,618.80.
Nicole Shannon said the sinking fund invoices were reviewed by the Bond and Sinking Fund Committee and "represent work on the Wacousta parking lot, fire alarm system at Wacousta Commons, re-shingling a couple of the outbuilding at the football stadium, doors at Wacousta Commons where the library is housed, progress billing for the rooftop units at Wacousta Commons, fire alarms at Wacousta Commons." The minutes record that the Series 3 payment includes the arbitrage payment to the U.S. Department of Treasury to close out Proposal 1, Series 3 bonds. Committee notes for Series 4 list work at Wacousta and Morris, progress billing for Clark and GMB, furniture for Wacousta Elementary, wireless networking at Wacousta and Morris, and access control/key fobs at Morris; a small portion covers the Delta Center gym.
All three payment motions carried unanimously.
