The Kenyon-Wanamingo School District board voted unanimously to adopt a standing resolution authorizing Superintendent Beth Keys to buy, sell and mortgage real property on behalf of the district. The resolution was read into the record and adopted by roll call, with all members recorded as voting in favor.
The resolution states that the board ‘‘hereby unanimously adopt by written action the following resolution’’ granting Beth Keys the authority to maintain ownership and to execute documents required to buy, sell or mortgage property in the district’s name. Board members asked that the resolution be part of the public record and approved without amendment; proponents said the authority streamlines needed transactions when property matters arise.
