Commissioners discussed the dead-animal removal contract, clarifying it is intended to supplement animal-control staff for large carcasses (deer) and that in-house staff handle small animals like snakes or possums. The purchasing director and facilities staff answered operational questions before the board approved the recommendations by roll call.
