The Ichabod Crane Central School District Board of Education met Nov. 12 and delayed action on a proposed School Resource Deputy (SRD) agreement that includes body‑worn camera provisions, while approving a memorandum of agreement with Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake Central Schools.
Board members first moved to "authorize the Board President or Superintendent to execute the following: School Resource Deputy Agreement and Body-worn Camera; Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central Schools MOA." Board Member Cal Waits raised questions specific to the School Resource Deputy Agreement, prompting a separate motion. As recorded in the meeting, the board voted "to table consideration of the School Resource Deputy Agreement until the Superintendent receives answers to the questions, which should be prior to the December Board meeting." The tabling motion (Nelson; second Waits) carried 7-0.
After the SRD question was set aside, the board considered the Burnt Hills–Ballston Lake memorandum of agreement and carried authorization 7-0. The board did not record substantive public debate on the MOA in the minutes; the motion to authorize execution had been presented as a single agenda item covering both documents before the SRD line was tabled.
The board scheduled follow-up: staff were directed to provide answers to outstanding questions about the School Resource Deputy Agreement for consideration before the December meeting. No further operational details or contract terms were included in the meeting minutes distributed with the agenda packet.
