Committee hears about opioid outreach: referral form, magnets and community recovery partners

"We know what they're looking for...this is the services she's looking for," S3 said, outlining the referral process.
S4 suggested converting outreach materials into refrigerator magnets and distributing them at hospitals, emergency departments, clinics, doctors' and dentists' offices, and pharmacies; S4 said presenting materials in person would be more effective than mailing them. S3 said she ordered 200 magnets and has a simplified 4x4 resource card with case-management contact information: "I have a simplified 1 that has the free opioid addiction man, case management, and the phone number."
Speakers described community partnerships, including Celebrate Recovery and Harvest Church, volunteer-led support groups and graduation requirements for program participants. S3 noted building and facility maintenance needs at the mission and said grant opportunities exist for capital and operational repairs; S3 and S4 said they would pursue those funding avenues while continuing outreach.
