The Ichabod Crane Board approved tuition rates and outlined the district’s budget calendar during its Feb. 4 meeting. Per Part 174 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education the Board recorded Actual tuition rates for 2023-24 and Estimated rates for 2024-25: Full day K–6 $9,656 (2023-24) and $9,770 (2024-25); Full day 7–12 $12,785 (2023-24) and $12,603 (2024-25); Special education K–6 $40,858 and $43,010; Special education 7–12 $43,987 and $45,843.
Business Manager Michael Brennan presented the non-instructional budget and bus proposition topics and noted a proposed donation to the art department to be accepted under the consent agenda. The Board also published key budget dates: Budget & Finance Committee on Feb. 25 (instructional budget), a series of board presentations in March/April, tentative adoption April 22, a Budget Hearing and regular meeting on May 6, and the budget vote and election on May 20, 2025.
