At its Feb. 4 meeting, the Ichabod Crane Board of Education adopted a package of policy updates and renumberings to align district rules with state and federal requirements. The Board acted under Board Policy #2410 to approve new and revised policies including 9520.6 (Policy on the Rights of Employees to Express Breast Milk in the Workplace), 1120 (School District Records), 8130 (School Safety Plans and Teams), 0100 (Non-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity), and 0115 (Student Harassment and Bullying Prevention and Intervention) as well as several Title IX–related policies (0110, 0110.2, 0111 and associated regulations and exhibits).
Board Member Max DiOrio summarized the Policy Committee’s recommendations and listed older policy numbers to be repealed to avoid duplication and to reflect the renumbering. The revisions include both procedural regulations and exhibits intended to clarify duties for staff and to bring the district into alignment with recent statutory and regulatory changes.
