County signs agreement for countywide immersive 360° visitor map platform

County media and visitor-services staff (Ed) described an agreement with Skynov to produce a countywide immersive 3‑D/360° platform covering an initial set of 50 points of interest across Washington County, from Springdale to Apple Valley, Snow Canyon and downtown St. George. Ed said the tool allows county control of points of interest and the ability to embed video and audio at locations so prospective visitors can preview seasonal conditions and attractions. "This company, they produce and they develop a platform for a 3 60 interactive, aerial map, in all Washington County," he said.
Staff explained the contract sits in the media-production budget and that subsequent seasons (spring/winter) could be added to showcase seasonal experiences. Commissioners approved the resolution to authorize the agreement and noted the platform should help visitors plan longer stays while giving the county a controlled place to promote local businesses and sites.
