Policy committee advances draft District Policy Procedure (Policy 1300P)

Chair opened the policy committee meeting and announced that the group would review Policy 1300P, which sets the board of trustees' responsibility for adopting, revising, and amending district policy. "To begin the process for creating a new policy, the superintendent shall bring suggestions to the board or a trustee may bring suggestions to a board meeting to begin the process for creating a new policy," one speaker said, describing the stepwise flow from idea to board action.
