Kirkland Board adopts 2025 budget with amendments after brief public hearing

The Board moved to adopt the budget under Resolution #103. The motion, made by Councilman Garry F. Colarusso and seconded by Councilwoman Donna E. Yando, was recorded as: "RESOLVED, that the Kirkland Town Board adopt the 2025 Preliminary budget with amendments as the final 2025 Budget." The roll call recorded all five members voting "Aye." The minutes state that a copy of the Final Budget has been made part of the minutes.
The public hearing on the Preliminary Budget had been opened earlier in the meeting and the Deputy Town Clerk read the public notice explaining that the Preliminary Budget, Property Tax Exemption Report and assessment rolls for sewer and water districts were filed in the Town Clerk’s office (Lumbard Hall) and available for inspection at the Kirkland Town Library and Municipal Office Building. The minutes record that no one offered additional questions or comments before the hearing was closed by Resolution #102 at 5:21 p.m.
