During the public-participation portion at the start of the Oct. 8 meeting two members of the public addressed the board. Their remarks focused on the Exchange Student Program and on global citizenry and teaching of French to Ichabod Crane students.
Student Board Member Amara Gabriel reported on various K–12 events and activities to the board. Superintendent Marie Digirolamo also called attention to Board Recognition Week (Oct. 14–18) and congratulated student artists and the K–12 art department.
Later in the meeting the board reported no additional public speakers at a subsequent public-participation slot but raised items for follow up including use of the district logo/name, use of Venmo for fundraising and an upcoming Trunk-or-Treat event. The board confirmed upcoming regular meetings for Nov. 12 (7:00 p.m.) and Dec. 3 (7:00 p.m.) and scheduled committee meetings in October and a policy workshop on Oct. 29.
