The Ichabod Crane Board approved a resolution to establish the position of assistant principal assigned to the Middle School and conditionally appointed Erin Russo to the probationary role.
The resolution notes that Erin Russo is eligible for a New York State public school teacher certificate in the School Building Leader certification area and that the appointment is "conditional, pending New York State Education Department certification and safety clearance." The appointment specifies a probationary period of four years to commence on or about Jan. 3, 2025 and to expire on Jan. 2, 2029, in compliance with Education Law 3012 and 8 NYCRR Part 30.3.
Superintendent Marie Digirolamo recommended the appointment in the resolution language included with the consent agenda. The appointment was approved as part of the consent motion carried Dec. 3.
