The committee received an update on the city's records-retention work. The City Administrator said Diane Toll, who handles many of the city's records responsibilities, "has taken on applying for a new records retention standard for us," and that once the standard is in place she expects to resume Public Records Commission meetings.
Members noted updating retention schedules can be complex and time-consuming and that aligning to current state requirements will require careful application and processing. The chair said she will keep the item as a standing agenda topic so the council is aware of progress when the work reaches council floor.
