Planning and Zoning Administrator Bridget Felmley told commissioners the Planning and Zoning Commission workshop scheduled for the week had been canceled and reported six building permits issued recently, including homes and shops. She said a Rezone Hearing is set for Aug. 18 and noted there has been no further communication from a solar farm company that had been part of prior ordinance discussions.
Felmley also said she had requested information about so-called "infrawaves" and their potential effects on livestock because those concerns were raised during the solar farm ordinance hearing. Commissioners asked about the status of the building inspector and requested updates on permit activity; Felmley replied she had not received additional communications from the solar developer.
