Kirkland agrees to maintain lighting along State Route 12B

The Town Board on Sept. 9 voted to agree to maintain, repair and energize a highway lighting system on or along State Highway 12B (Resolution #82). The resolution passed by roll call with Supervisor Robert J. Meelan, Councilman Garry F. Colarusso, Councilman Richard J. Maxam and Councilwoman Melanie L. O’Neil voting Aye and Councilwoman Donna E. Yando absent.
Supervisor Meelan noted the Town does not require a special lighting district for that system because it is located on a state road. The board recorded the vote and approved implementation steps noted in the resolution.
