Bridget Felmley, Washington County Planning & Zoning Administrator, updated commissioners Aug. 3 that a rezone hearing is scheduled for Aug. 18 and that six building permits have been issued recently for homes, remodels and shops. Felmley also said the Planning & Zoning Commission workshop planned for Tuesday was canceled and inquired about the status of the county building inspector.
Commissioners asked staff to contact the building inspector about schedule and permitting status. Felmley reported she had received no further communication from the solar farm company referenced in prior ordinance hearings and said she had requested information about potential effects of infrawaves on livestock that had been raised during previous discussions. The Board did not take final action on planning items during this meeting but set the Aug. 18 rezone hearing date.
