Council accepts 2025 fire report and honors two department employees

The Jerseyville City Council on Jan. 20 accepted the Fire Department's 2025 annual report and recognized two employees for years of service.
Fire Chief Keith Norman told the council that "there were a total of 125 calls for 2025 that included fire, rescue, service, and mutual aid. There were no fire related injuries to report." Commissioner John Miles moved to approve the report and Commissioner Anthony Steckel seconded; roll-call vote was unanimous.
The council also extended appreciation to Kyle Fesser for 15 years of service and Randy Roentz for 10 years. The recognitions were presented during the meeting's service awards segment.
