Jaelon Moaney of Needle’s Eye Academy presented a proposal for a small free library at Nace’s Park dedicated to the Read in Color program. The Town would pick the site within Nace’s Park and handle maintenance; Needle’s Eye Academy would manage construction and ongoing programming.
Commissioner Rose Potter moved to approve the addition of the little free library and Commissioner Schmidt seconded; the motion passed unanimously. "The unveiling of the library will be on Nace’s Day on November 1, 2025," the minutes record. The Council directed staff to coordinate location selection and maintenance responsibilities with the academy.
The project is scheduled for public unveiling on Nov. 1, 2025. No town funds or detailed maintenance budget were recorded in the minutes; the presentation indicated Needle’s Eye Academy would supply and install the library and manage the program.
