Mayor Kevin Stork gave the council an update on the city-wide trash request for proposals (RFP), saying the city is continuing research after a recent public information meeting and resident feedback. The council is re-evaluating the current dump site and "reviewing the option of offering recycling at the current dump site" while determining the full cost of hauling trash from that location; residents were encouraged to provide additional feedback to council members.
Director of Public Works Manns acknowledged the hours worked by city crews during a recent snow event. During the public-comment period, Pat Young thanked the council for researching options for the city's trash service. There was no formal vote on the trash RFP or on recycling at the meeting; Mayor Stork's remarks described ongoing study and public outreach.
