The committee reviewed a letter about the county's forecasted appropriation for the coming fiscal year, with the chair stating the figure presented was approximately $1,411,200 but that the state budget had not been finalized. He urged members not to spend or obligate funds until the state formalizes the appropriation.
"Folks, if you recall, we earlier we was allocated 1000000 $411,200. Now, this letter is saying that all of the state budget is not finalized. It's it's soon to be finalized... the money hasn't been approved yet, so don't spend it until we get off and leave," the chair said. The committee did not reallocate funds at the meeting and agreed to await official state confirmation before acting on the projected amounts.
